Phoenix Art Museum

The Phoenix Art Museum has served as the cornerstone of Phoenix’s art and cultural community since 1959, providing the people of Arizona with great art and amazing cultural experiences from around the world. It is the Southwest United States’ largest art museum for visual art, at 285,000 square feet.

Popular international exhibitions are shown alongside the museum’s outstanding collection of more than 18,000 works of American, Asian, European, Latin American, Western American, modern and contemporary art.

The Phoenix Art Museum presents festivals, live performances, independent art films and educational programs. Visitors may also enjoy PhxArtKids, an interactive space for children. There are vibrant photography exhibitions through the Museum’s landmark partnership with the Center for Creative Photography. Other things to do include seeing the lushly landscaped Sculpture Garden, dining at the Art Museum cafe, and shopping at The Museum Store.

In addition to the permanent collection at Phoenix Art Museum, they are always hosting traveling exhibitions that cover a wide range of artistic tastes. Photography, surrealism, graphics, fashion, cityscapes, sculptures, ancient art, and highlights of specific artists may be on the museum schedule during any particular time .
